    The Safe Zone Office at Fayetteville State University hosted open house for the campus on Thursday, September 29, 2015 in the Safe Zone Office.

  • Generation Q

    In honor of LGBT Center Awareness Day, Generation Q will host a drop-in celebration.  We will have a variety of activities including games, trivia and art projects related to the LGBT community.

    We will provide snacks and music will be playing all day.  Stop by and check us out at 110-01 62nd Drive Forest Hills, NY 11375 from 3-7pm on October 19th.

  • The LGBT Community Center of the Desert

    On Wednesday, October 19, The Center will hold a special event at its Community Food Bank @ The Center, located at 610 S. Belardo Rd, in Palm Springs where volunteers will help revitalize the permanent home of the Community Food Bank with a fresh coat of paint donated by Dunn-Edwards.

    From 8AM until 5PM, we are asking volunteers to help put on a fresh new face of our Community Food Bank @ The Center, which is finally enjoying its permanent home on Belardo.

  • Mystic LGBTQ+ Youth Support Network

    We are going to be celebrating Mystic LGBTQ+ Youth Support Network (Queer Mystic) and the Rainbow Initiative, two local organizations, and handing out a community needs assessment as a first step in getting some information about the feasibility of establishing a Pride Center in our area. The event will be on Tuesday, Oct. 18, from 7 - 8:30 pm in Arlington, MA, in the Robbins Library Community Room.

    Visit the GSC table in Pioneer Food Court of the Oakland Center for information on resources, programs, and events. After, come to the GSC where the first 20 visitors with a ticket (received at the table) will get a prize!

  • one n ten

    one•n•ten is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving and assisting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth. We provide youth with tools to improve self-esteem and self-acceptance.

     

    Youth range in age from 14 to 24. We create a safe space, mentally and physically, for youth of all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. Our weekly discussion groups cover a wide range of social, educational, health and community issues.

    We will be  celebrating LGBTQ Community Center Awarness day with an open house & celebration at our Youth Center, located at 3660 N. 3rd st, in Phoenix, Arizona. The open house is from 5-8 pm on Octiber 19th. Youth leaders and volunteers will be giving tours to community members and new youth, showcasing the programs and services that we offer. Staff will be on hand to discuss partnering and volunteer oppurtunities for community members interested in geting involved. Additionally, a 2016 youth inspried slideshow will be presented.

    Lights snacks will be provided. Alcohol, drugs and weapons are not allowed in our space. We as that all vistitors abide by our safe space guidlines. For more information please visist www.onenten.org or contact kado@onenten.org


  • Pridelines

    Pridelines, Miami's LGBTQ Community Center, is excited to celebrate LGBT Center Awareness Day. Join us for a tour of our new Community Center, guided by our CEO, to learn more about our history, programs and services, art gallery, upcoming events, and volunteer opportunities. Guests will be invited to a complimentary glass of wine or non-alcoholic refreshment during the post-tour Q&A.

    Tours will begin at the top of each hour, starting at 3:00 PM. The last tour will begin at 7:00 PM. Participation is limited to 6 guests per tour, so you must RSVP to participate. Please contact Katrice Sturgis at 305-571-9601 ext. 5 to reserve your spot today.

Keep an eye out on our social media pages, where we will be providing information on our history, programs, and services to raise awareness of all the things that Time Out Youth Center does! Time Out Youth Center offers support, advocacy, and opportunities for personal development and social interaction to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) youth ages 11-20.

    The University of Georgia's LGBT Resource Center will be handing out sweets and holding a free giveaway for visitors. The winner of the giveaway will be announced on our Facebook page and will recieve a basket full of goodies, coupons, and gift vouchers from local Athens businesses.
